I’m Jo, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to step into my role as your new Wedding Store blog editor. Here, in this little corner of the internet, I’ll be sharing all the wedding dress tips, wedding industry insights, and bridal inspirations you need to find the wedding dress of your dreams and navigate the magical journey of wedding dress shopping with confidence and joy.
My journey into the world of bridal fashion began, like so many others, with a love story—my own. When I got engaged, I was swept up in the excitement and endless possibilities of weddings, and it wasn’t long before my personal “dream journal” of wedding ideas blossomed into a full-fledged international wedding blog. Through this creative outlet, I discovered a deep passion for helping other brides bring their wedding visions to life, guiding them through the often overwhelming, yet always exhilarating, process of finding that perfect gown.
Before joining the incredible team here at the Wedding Store, I had the pleasure of founding and serving as the creative director of Sheer Bride, a bridal studio nestled in the vibrant city of Cape Town. My time there was nothing short of magical. I had the honor of working closely with countless brides, helping each one discover a dress that didn’t just suit her body, but spoke to her soul. My philosophy has always been to blend modern romance with deeply personal touches, ensuring that every bride feels not only beautiful but entirely herself on her big day.
After spending the last 20 years abroad, I’m absolutely delighted to be back in Sweden, where my journey originally began, and to be part of the Wedding Store family. It’s an incredible privilege to work with such a reputable store known for its warmth, elegance, and unparalleled dedication to brides. Every Saturday fitting is a new opportunity to connect with brides, to listen to their stories, and to play a small part in one of the most important days of their lives. There’s something so special about seeing a bride light up when she finds *the* dress—the one that makes her feel like she’s stepped right out of her own dreams.
